ANTIGRAVITY

Welcome to AntiGravity Fitness (AG)! Here you will discover the power, excitement and pure joy of moving freely in all directions of open space. You will safely ‘decompress’ which includes zero-compression inversions, aka going upside down. You ‘invert’ only IF you are comfortable doing so you can choose to sit out any inversions. We invert 2-3 times per class for 1-3 minutes total depending on the class &/or instructor. You will also learn the ins and outs of the AntiGravity Hammock, the principles of the technique and the philosophy of AntiGravity in this fun-filled action- packed class. Designed safely to get you flipping, inverting and flying! Increase your kinesthetic awareness for better agility, build core strength, elongate your muscles and get a low-impact cardiovascular workout while suspended by the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock. BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME in all AGs! NOTE all AGs are NOT specifically a YOGA class although we do incorporate some elements of yoga at beginning and end of each AG class. If you are looking for a Yoga like experience, check out our AG Candlelit class Sunday evenings, or Friday morning incorporates many Yoga elements

Health Considerations
Precautions
Whenever one is exercising the body, the process is one of building up, breaking down, and repairing. The objective is to break down tensions and scars in muscle tissue fiber, while creating more flexibility and elasticity in the joints and muscles. It is also to refresh the systems of the healing body without causing any additional harm. Often, one comes to yoga class in order to bring about healing that can be encouraged by this technique. However, sometimes their body is already in repair mode as they go through a healing crisis and requires monitoring by a health professional.
